Word count as the basis
The price is based on the word count of the source text. Fix the basis – and if there's more text, you'll know how to adjust, keeping the collaboration transparent.
Agree the glossary early
Technical terms, brand names, form of address: the glossary comes before part 1. Renaming things later across the whole text is expensive – the glossary prevents that.
Define the delivery format
DOCX, XLIFF, InDesign? State the format and whether it's delivered true to the original layout. The criterion makes it verifiable before it becomes a back-and-forth.
