Set a word or page count
"Homepage approx. 500 words, services page approx. 300" instead of "website copy". The client knows exactly what was agreed when approving – and you have a basis if the scope grows.
One point of contact for feedback
Feedback from three departments means three rounds of revisions. Agree that one person collects and consolidates feedback. Put that in the milestone criteria to keep the number of rounds in check.
Get the tone of voice approved in the briefing
Three example sentences are enough: the client approves tone of voice and target audience in the briefing. Later friction ("that doesn't sound like us") then has something in writing to point to.
Frequently asked questions
How many rounds of revisions are fair?
One to two rounds per version is standard. Put the number in the milestone criteria.
What if the briefing changes?
Then it's a new briefing – and a new milestone.
Why Stipme instead of an invoice?
Your client reserves the budget for each milestone in advance with the payment partner Stripe. You start with security, and they only pay on approval — automatically after 72 hours (excluding weekends).
