Set the page count in writing
State the number of pages (e.g. home, services, about, contact) and agree: every additional page is its own milestone. That way the scope can't quietly grow during the project.
Tie client content to a fixed date
Copy and images come from the client – and often arrive late. Put this in the criteria: "The client delivers all content by day 15. If that slips, the deadlines shift accordingly." The Stip shows both sides who's waiting on whom.
Count revision rounds instead of "until satisfied"
"Satisfied" is subjective, "two rounds of revisions" is verifiable. Define what counts as a round: one consolidated round of feedback. A third round is offered as its own milestone – that feels fair, not strict.
