Bill third-party costs separately
Venue, catering, technical equipment: these costs run directly from the client to the vendors. Your Stip secures your planning and organisation work – keeping them separate keeps everything clean.
Pass on the venue's cancellation rules
Venues have cancellation deadlines; your client might not know that. Pass the rules on in writing – so it's clear what a cancellation costs and who bears it.
Fix the number of attendees
Catering, seating, safety requirements: everything hinges on attendee numbers. Set a number and state when the price changes ("from 120 people").
Frequently asked questions
Do venue costs run through the Stip?
Better not – they go directly from the client to the venue. The Stip secures your work.
What happens on cancellation?
Already-approved milestones stay paid. Settle anything further within the project.
Why Stipme instead of an invoice?
Your client reserves the budget for each milestone in advance with the payment partner Stripe. You start with security, and they only pay on approval — automatically after 72 hours (excluding weekends).
